Innerfire pt. 2

Acrylic painting on 48x48 inch gallery wrap canvas

Painted January 2024

Innerfire pt. 2 is a striking visual composition, meticulously created with over 50 hours of labor and more than 10 layers of acrylic paint. Ash Amos explored a meticulous process, applying layers of paint between rows of masking tape, sealed and glued with acrylic medium for added depth and texture. This method yields a vivid, grid-like pattern that evokes both a sense of precision and intensity. To Ash, this piece represents the internal drive and passion that fuels growth, passion and success.

The piece’s glowing blend of reds, oranges, and yellows speaks to the warmth and energy of that inner flame, contained within a structure of methodical order, symbolizing the balance between passion and discipline.

This artwork was the central highlight of Ash Amos’ debut solo exhibition, Emerge, in May 2024. A special acknowledgment goes to Amos’ partner, Shantelle “Tellikinesis” Sommers, whose assistance in the intricate taping and layering process was instrumental to the completion of this piece.

Originally priced at $1250, Innerfire pt. 2 is now available for $750 to help recover material costs and support further explorations of this style.
